China welcomed North Koreas nuclear decision

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has responded with approval to North Korea's decision to stop conducting nuclear tests.

The statement states that China welcomes the decision. 'It will help to reduce the tensions on the Korean peninsula and is a step towards clearing countries from nuclear weapons. '

Earlier Saturday, the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un announced that his country would immediately stop his nuclear tests and missile tests. According to Kim, the country no longer has to carry out nuclear tests or tests with ballistic missiles, because the country has completed nuclear weapons.

Kim's announcement comes a week before the summit between Kim and South Korean President Moon Jae-next Friday in the border town of Panmunjom. There, the phasing out of the nuclear program is one of the topics of discussion.
