China welcome letter Trump

China has welcomed a letter including New Year greetings to the Chinese people of the US president Donald Trump.

Trump sent the letter Wednesday to the Chinese leader Xi Jinping. He writes them to look forward to developing a 'constructive relationship', it told the White House. Chinese Foreign Minister Lu Kang praised Trump for sending the letter. Cooperation between the two countries is the only option, said the minister.
