Cell punishment for Italian who shot at migrants

A man who shot six African migrants in northern Italian Macerata was sentenced to 12 years in prison there.

Traini drove around in his car on February 3 and shot at migrants. Several victims were in the room according to La Repubblica when the judge made a decision. The archer has stated that he regrets his actions. He stated that he wanted to deal with drug dealers, news agency ANSA.

A few days before the shooting, the body of eighteen-year-old Pamela Mastropietro was found in the area. The authorities had arrested a Nigerian drug dealer on suspicion of murder and rape. The suspect stated that the victim died of an overdose after voluntary sex. He would then have stashed the body because he feared being accused.
