Cell for frozen murder Belgium

The Belgian Isabel Duthoit was Wednesday sentenced to 21 years in prison for the murder of her Dutch husband in 2014.

The court in Kortrijk submitted an accomplice of the 42-year-old woman 15 years in prison on. The Public Prosecutor had demanded respectively 27 and 24 years.

The woman had told her accomplice that her husband drank a lot and hit her. The pair cooked up a murder plan and was the victim of heroin and drugs increasing. Then they pulled the Dutchman a bag over his head and strangled him. His body was almost a year later discovered in a freezer in the home in the West Flemish village Gits.

The accomplice (47) was addicted and would be the wife 'rewarded' with speed. The prosecution called him an assassin.

Both convicts have expressed regret at the meeting. But because they have treated the victim as 'a piece of steak,' the prosecutor regarded not as sincere.
