Category 4 hurricane Willa is heading for Mexico

Hurricane Willa, which is currently raging across the Pacific Ocean, has grown in strength to category 4.

The US National Hurricane Center (NHC) expects the storm, which is now 360 kilometers off the coast, to land in the middle of Mexico on Tuesday afternoon. It is possible that areas visited by many tourists are affected by Willa.

In addition to the potentially devastating and life-threatening wind, the NHC also warns of large amounts of precipitation up to 380 millimeters at places along the Mexican southwest coast.
