Catalan leader threatens Madrid again

If Spain withdraws the regional autonomy of Catalonia, Catalan Prime Minister Carles Puigdemont will formally call for independence.

Thursday morning at 10 o'clock runs an ultimatum that Madrid has put to Catalonia. The Spanish Government then wants clarification as to whether or not Catalonia has formally declared independence. If there is no clarity, the regional self-government will be lifted.

With his comments at his party, Puigdemont seems to be turning the case into a smart way.

The procedure for withdrawing self-government takes between three and five days.
