Castro not on arrival Obama on Cuba

US President Barack Obama is Sunday afternoon (local time) on arrival at the Havana airport not welcomed by his counterpart Raul Castro.

At the start of the historic state visit- the first time since 1928, there is again an American president on Cuban soil- was expected that Castro would personally welcome his guest. Last year, he personally welcomed French President Francois Hollande on arrival in Cuba.

Monday is now a first meeting between the two presidents on the agenda in the evening followed by a state dinner.

Obama visited Sunday with wife Michelle and daughters Sasha and Malia Old Town of Havana.
