Busy day rescue Mediterranean

The lifeguards who patrol the Mediterranean Sea between the African coast and Italy have a busy day behind.

In less than 24 hours time they picked 3,400 refugees and migrants. Who were 28 dinghies and six small vessels working on the crossing when they got into trouble. This was announced by the Italian coastguard Friday. In addition to several private organizations were also English and Irish naval vessels involved in the rescue operations.
