Brussels gets more agents

Brussels gets from Thursday more police.

These are the mayors of the nineteen municipalities and Interior Minister Jan Jambon Wednesday agreed. The nineteen mayors of communes had beaten following the attacks alarm in Paris because they have too few people and resources to carry out all policing.

The number of agents of a corps of the federal police in Brussels will be doubled from 20 to 40 during the day, and from 15 to 30 overnight. The reserve corps is used for events and special occasions. Jambon promised further improve the exchange of information between the federal and the local level.
