Britons are going \u0026 # x27; due \u0026 # x27; respond in case-Skripal

The British government will react 'appropriately' if a foreign state appears to be involved in the poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal in Salisbury in England last week.

'This is a police investigation and the evidence will be leading and we have to go where the evidence takes us', Hammond said on BBC television.

'If the investigation shows that a foreign state would be involved, it would of course be very serious and the government will respond appropriately,' he said.

Sergej Skripal and his daughter Yulia were found unconscious on a bench last Sunday. They are probably poisoned with a nerve gas.
