Brexit minister withheld information

The position of the British minister leading the Brexit negotiations, David Davis, has been jeopardized after it became known that he omitted information from reports about the Brexit for the House of Commons.

According to the opposition, Davis deliberately deleted 'politically embarrassing' information in analyzes about what the departure from the European Union can mean for 58 industrial sectors. Davis would have refused to provide information about matters that are market sensitive or that could affect the negotiations.

The opposition now threatens to sue Davis for contempt of parliament. According to SNP parliamentarian Pete Wishart, it was promised that 'no editing or qualification' would take place in the analyzes. The conservative lower house member Jacob Rees-Mogg is also displeased. According to him, the government is 'in serious constitutional waters if it does not provide all the information,' the Guardian quotes.
