Bomb Christmas market was attempting extorting postal business

The explosive found on Friday in a pharmacy near a Christmas market near the German city of Potsdam was an attempt to extort postal company DHL.

According to the minister, the senders of the package would have demanded a sum of millions from the carrier. No suspects have been arrested yet. A similar bomb package has recently surfaced in Frankfurt a / d Oder and has been made harmless.

The package that was found on Friday was defused with a small explosion. The Christmas markets in the East German city reopened on Saturday. More agents are currently patrolling than originally planned. The suspicion already existed that the Christmas markets were not the target of an attack, reports the police.
