Bolsonaro new president Brazil

The controversial right-wing populist Jair Bolsonaro was installed in parliament on Tuesday as president of the more than two hundred million inhabitants of Brazil.

The country suffers from leftist governments after sixteen years under an almost constant recession, massive corruption and extremely violent crime. Many see the only chance in Bolsonaro. Bolsonaro, who nearly survived an assassination attempt in September, entered the governmental center in Brasilia's capital Brasilia in an open Rolls-Royce with his wife Michele. More than 12,000 police officers and soldiers have been torn out to secure the inauguration.
