Body Cams for Deutsche Bahn

Deutsche Bahn is equipping some of the staff with body cams.

There are regular incidents of violence where railway staff involved. In the first half of 2016 there were 950 incidents, ten percent more than the same period last year.

From a small test at the Berlin station shows that small cameras deter potential offenders, says Hans-Hilmar Rischke, head of security at Deutsche Bahn. Employees who wear the cameras can be identified by the special video surveillance logos on their clothes.
