Beware, there is a wolf on the road

Motorists on the Berlin ring road received an unusual warning on Thursday morning: 'Beware, there is a wolf on the road,' said the traffic service.

The incident was just before the morning rush hour around 06. 40 hours at about 3.5 kilometers from the city limits of Berlin. The police called a veterinarian, a zoo and the state official in charge of wolves cases. The intention was to stun and drain the wolf, but that was different. The animal was seriously injured, had probably been hit by the road, and had to be killed by the vet, according to German media.
