Belgium delivers terror suspect to France

Mohamed Bakkali, suspected of helping with the attacks in Paris in 2015 and the foiled attack on the high-speed train Thalys earlier that year, was handed over to the French authorities on Friday.

Bakkali would be the terrorists who on 13 November 2015 in Paris at various places have helped with car and house payments. A BMW that he rented was seen in the vicinity of two safe houses where the attacks would have been prepared, in Charleroi and Auvelais. He would also have rented a safe house in Schaerbeek under a false name, where, among other things, DNA material from the Parisian attacker Salah Abdeslam was found.

Bakkali was arrested at the end of November 215. At the end of October he was also accused of complicity in the failed attack on the Thalys on 21 August 2015.
