Belgian who drove Dutchman dead in cell

The 54-year-old Belgian who entered the E40 on Monday evening at the shop of a Texaco filling station where a Dutchman was killed remains in the cell.

The accident happened at a gas station on the motorway in Drongen near Ghent. The car entered the shop at the gas station at high speed. The car driver from Ostend was heavily influenced by alcohol when he was arrested. He himself came away with minor injuries.

The man, because he was drunk, could not appear before the examining magistrate until Tuesday afternoon. He ordered him to cause an accident with a fatal outcome and alcohol intoxication. According to Belgian media, he has been convicted five times for drunken driving.
