Belgian village to block border crossings

The border crossings to France from the South Belgian border village Erquelinnes since Wednesday blocked with concrete blocks.

According to Mayor David Lavaux are on its territory more than twenty border crossings, while he has 54 police officers. These are small roads, there is no highway nearby. The concrete blocks are across the full width of the crossings installed.

Erquelinnes has nearly 10,000 inhabitants and is located about 22 kilometers south of the Walloon city of Mons (Mons).
