Banker and philanthropist Rockefeller deceased

The American banker and philanthropist David Rockefeller is Monday in New York deceased at the age of 101.

The oldest billionaire in the world died at home in Pocantico Hills, confirmed a spokesman for the family.

David Rockefeller was the youngest and last living grandson of John D. Rockefeller (1839-1937), the first billionaire in the United States. John D. Rockefeller was the founder of Standard Oil. His son John. D. Rockefeller Junior (1874-1960) had six children, of which David was the youngest. He was the only son who worked all his life in the business world. As he led the JP Morgan Chase Bank.
