Ban curse for football fans

Manchester United fans who have to watch their words walking home after another defeat.

It is a street along the water in Salford used by Manchester United fans to reach the stadium. Football fans are apparently rather rude mouthed and also cause some damage to street furniture.

The municipality has therefore set up a special regulation that allows the use of 'abusive and offensive language' punishable. What words fall under that description remains unclear. Who uses them can face a fine.

Residents voted en masse in the Regulation, but there are also fierce opponents. The prohibition would violate freedom of speech.
