Baboons escape from laboratory

Four baboons chose the hares, when they saw an opportunity to escape from a laboratory where researchers perform animal experiments.

In the Southwest National Primate Research Center in the US state of Texas countless scientists are doing research on animals to test drugs against heart disease and obesity. There are 1100 baboons among the 2500 animals, divided into smaller groups. In one of the country houses there were 133 members of the same, where four were clever enough to come up with an escape route.

In the cage of the baboons there are large blue barrels filled with food. There the monkeys themselves get their food from, because they then keep moving and looking for their food themselves. Four of the monkeys, however, realized that the barrels could also be of service in a different way. After a lot of pulling and dragging, they placed the monsters on top of each other, after which they crawled on them and clambered over the fence.

For one of the four animals it was soon exciting enough. He therefore decided almost immediately to leave the freedom for what it is and to climb back into the loft. The other three experimental animals did investigate. They even managed to get outside the laboratory, where they were soon spotted by passersby. They called the center and the caretakers came into action immediately. They could eventually safely return the animals to their loft. The blue barrels have since been taken away.
