Australians unhindered by travel ban

Australian citizens with dual nationality are not affected by the decision of the US president Donald Trump for the time being not to let people from some predominantly Muslim countries to the US

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said Tuesday 'official confirmation' that he had received his compatriots just can travel to the US.

'Holders of Australian passports can travel to the US in the same way as for the presidential order,' Turnbull told Sky News. His New Zealand counterpart Bill English said Tuesday that his country expected to come to similar arrangements with Washington.

The US president wanted to keep the travel ban travelers from Libya, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, Iran, Yemen and Syria. The decision is intended to reduce the risk of terrorism.
