Australia opens alert vengeance porn

Australia has opened an online reporting point for victims of revenge porn.

One in five Australians is victim of revenge pornography or similar abuse of private material, according to a study published by Monash University earlier this year. Women and men run as much risk. Often, nude pictures or sex videos- sometimes made fun- are spread out without permission. On the new website, people can share their experiences and find information about ways to prevent abuse of their photos and videos.

Revenge porn is also regularly found in the Netherlands. This week it became known that the new cabinet will be punishable as a separate offense because of the government's deep involvement in privacy.
