Attacks on Ghouta despite UN resolution

The attacks by the Syrian government army on East Ghouta near Damascus continued on Sunday.

In the first hours after the council unanimously passed the resolution, the attacks decreased slightly. But according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, there were again air attacks and artillery bombardments on Sunday. A woman died as a result.

The fifteen members of the Security Council agreed on Saturday with a resolution that provides for a thirty-day armistice throughout Syria.
