Attack on Kabul shrine

A group of gunmen on Tuesday attacked a shrine in Kabul.

Hundreds of Shiite Muslims had assembled in the sanctuary gathered for the celebration of Ashura, the commemoration of the death of a grandson of the Prophet Muhammad. Police said three gunmen around 20. 00 pm local time opened fire. The sanctuary has been cleared. How many shooters there are still alive, is unclear.

The Ministry of Health spoke of eighteen wounded, but made no mention of deaths.
