Asylum seekers end up in crocodile swamp

A few dozen boat people have succeeded in making the long dangerous crossing to Australia, but the question is how happy they should be.

The Australian authorities found the abandoned boat on the beach to the north of Cairns.

During a search in the mangrove forests nearby, 15 Vietnamese boat refugees were found, but there is still an unknown number of boat refugees roaming the area. According to local mayor Julia Leu 'the refugees have put themselves in great danger in a notorious crocodile area'.
