Assad: West lacks control and credibility

The West has lost all influence and credibility in the conflict in the Middle East and therefore only carried out a rocket attack on Syria under the leadership of the US.

According to Assad, they refuse to 'continue the fight against terrorism in all corners of Syria' and to defeat the terrorists. The main fighting groups that threaten Assad's regime in the seven-year civil war are Sunni extremists. Among the rebels that have strongholds near Damascus are those of Islamic State and of Jaish al-Islam (Army of Islam). The fighters of Jaish al-Islam have finally left their stronghold Douma on Saturday and, in consultation with Russia, they have gone to northern Syria in buses.

In Douma, 7 April there were reports of a poison gas gas attack that led to Western attacks.
