Argentinian judge: prosecutor Nisman murdered

An Argentinean prosecutor who investigated a possible cover-up on a bloody terrorist attack has been killed by force.

Nisman investigated a 1994 bomb attack on a Jewish center. He then accused former President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and her foreign minister of wanting to stop Iranian involvement in the massacre because of a lucrative trade agreement with that country. The prosecutor was found dead in 2015 before he could make a comprehensive statement to parliamentarians.

Judge Julian Ercolini concluded Tuesday that there is sufficient evidence that Nisman has not shot himself in the head. It was the first time that a judge made such a statement. Kirchner earlier claimed that the prosecutor was killed to discredit her government.
