Apple wants to block camera at concert

Apple has applied for a patent and received a technology that can block the camera of the device, for example concerts or in theaters.

The patent application describes that the camera can capture an infrared signal and can then process the signal data. This then allows the camera to be turned off. The system can, however, also be used otherwise, for example, in museums. Via an infrared signal can be given, for example, more information about a work of art.

The question is to what extent the patent, which was filed in 2011, is still relevant: now there are also opportunities based on Bluetooth to send information to phones.
