Alleged drug lord (85) arrested in Spain

The Spanish authorities have arrested the alleged drug lord Manuel Charlín (85).

According to the authorities, Manuel Charlín has been in charge of the crime clan 'Los Charlínes' for decades. That organization smuggled narcotic drugs to Europe on a large scale. Charlín was already behind bars because of cocaine smuggling from Colombia and since 2010 was free again. The very old patriarch is now stuck again.

On Wednesday, the police raided a villa used by the gang in Pontevedra, reporting the local newspaper La Voz de Galicia. Several members of the organization have previously been sentenced to prison sentences for drug smuggling and money laundering.
