Airport closed by winter weather in Switzerland

Snowfall and smoothness cause nuisance in several places in Switzerland.

'Due to the weather conditions, Genève Aéroport is closed to air traffic until further notice', the airport reports. 'We therefore advise passengers not to come to the airport now. 'Travelers are advised to contact their airline.

The weather also causes problems in the Alpine region. Broadcaster SRF reports that accidents at several places cause traffic disruption.
