Aid organizations like Oxfam knew 10 years of abuse

Aid organizations, including Oxfam, were warned ten years ago that children were sexually abused in Haiti.

The 2007 report mentions large-scale abuse during 23 aid, peace and security operations in Haiti, Ivory Coast and the then southern Sudan. It would be 'any form of sexual child abuse that is conceivable', including rape, prostitution, pornography, sexual slavery and human trafficking.

The children did not report because they did not know where to go or because they distrusted the authorities.

The report is from three years before the incidents in Haiti, as a result of which Oxfam has now been discredited. Employees of the aid organization would have hired young prostitutes after the earthquake in 2011.
