Agent shot during prison transport

In the transport of prisoners to a courtroom in Kansas City, a 35-year-old policeman was shot dead by one of the detainees and a second wounded.

The shooting started on Friday when the vehicle in which the prisoners were transported arrived in the parking garage of the court. The two policemen were overwhelmed by the detainee.

The suspect was shot after the incident by other police officers. He was wounded and was taken to the hospital.
