Again killing in riots in Honduras

Two people were killed in Honduras during fighting between security units and protesters.

The uproar, with angry protests but also looting, arose because of the chaos surrounding the presidential election last Sunday in the Central American country. The result is still unknown. The TV personality Salvador Nasralla accused his rival Juan Orlando Hernandez, the incumbent president, of shoddy counting.

Nasralla initially seemed to be heading for a win but saw his lead shrink further and further. The difference between the two candidates is now so small that questionable ballot papers can be decisive. The party of Nasralla speaks of a coup and demands a large-scale recount.
