After disaster Genoa: Italy closes rickety highway viaduct

Justice in the Italian city of Arezzo has ordered that a viaduct of the major motorway 3B running from Ravenna to the south must be closed immediately.

It is a viaduct at Valsavignone, more than two hundred kilometers north of Rome. Rossi's order comes during a judicial investigation into the collapse of part of this motorway in February. The bad condition of a pillar of the viaduct happened to be discovered by a man who was searching for mushrooms on the ground, Italian media reported. He placed an image of the pillar of reinforced concrete on social media, apparently ravaged by the ravages of time.
