Advance towards Mosul progressing

Iraqi forces have liberated the district of al-Shura, an area southeast of Mosul.

Nineveh is on the eastern bank of the Tigris River as it were, embraced by the city of Mosul, the goal of Iraqi troops and Kurdish fighters Monday attacking this huge IS stronghold opened. In Mosul, which also lies on the western bank of the Tigris, staying an estimated half million citizens.
