About Trump blundering journalist away from ABC

Research journalist Brian Ross, who went wrong with his coverage of Donald Trump late last year, leaves the American channel ABC News after nearly a quarter of a century.

A reason for the departure is not given. Ross reported late last year that the former national security adviser Michael Flynn had been commissioned by the then presidential candidate Trump in 2016 to make contact with Russians. That turned out to be incorrect. ABC News then suspended Ross for four weeks.

Ross himself said that after his departure from ABC News he did not put an end to investigative journalism. 'There is still a lot to do,' the journalist said in a statement.
