Abdeslam has another lawyer, case postponed

The Belgian lawsuit against terror suspect Salah Abdeslam is postponed.

Abdeslam is seen as one of the terrorists in the attacks on 13 November 2015 in Paris, causing 130 deaths. The Belgian lawsuit is about a shooting in the Brussels municipality of Vorst in March 2016. A Belgian-French police team wanted to search a house where the officers were shot at. Three of them were injured. A police shooter then killed a terrorist. Abdeslam also appeared to be in the home, but managed to escape. He was arrested three days later.

The 28-year-old Frenchman has been in prison in Paris for more than 2.5 years, but was allowed to be present at the trial. He did not, however, have a lawyer. Mary, his former counsel, has now recruited him as a client. He wants to thoroughly study the file first.
