A weakening Alberto lands in Florida

The tropical storm Alberto landed in the American state of Florida.

The coastal area from Florida to Mississippi and western Georgia must take into account heavy rainfall, up to 30 cm, and the possibility of tornadoes. The storm has now weakened and landed with measured wind speeds of over 70 kilometers per hour, reports the National Hurricane Center. Previously, wind speeds of 96 kilometers per hour were measured above the Gulf of Mexico.

Floods have been reported in a part of the coastal area. In Panama City, trees have been ripped out, but a spokesman for the fire brigade says that no one has been in danger yet.
