96-year-old ex-SS man robbed in their own home

An ex-SS man, who had been involved in a massacre in Ascq in April 1944, was arrested in his apartment near Hanover according to information from the NDR television channel.

The 96-year-old had still played down the Holocaust in November in the ARD program 'Panorama' and said that the French citizens in Ascq were themselves to blame for their death. In the attack on Ascq by the 12. SS-Panzer-Division Hitlerjugend, 86 people were murdered. It was a revenge by the Nazis for sabotage on a German freight train.
