8,000 shops Starbucks afternoon closed for anti-racism training

Starbucks will close 8,000 stores in the United States on Tuesday, May 29, to train nearly 175,000 employees in the field of anti-racism.

The reason for the anti-racism training is the arrest of two blacks last week at a Starbucks branch in Philadelphia. The manager of the branch had called the police because the two dark men in the shop were waiting for a friend.

Many dozens of people protested for the Starbucks site the last few days. They demanded the dismissal of the manager. That was finally fired by Starbucks.
