5000 leeches along in aircraft: For own use

A man flew with 5000 leeches in his suitcase from Russia to Canada.

The critters were divided into hundreds of bottles in the man's suitcase. Presumably he had taken the leeches to use them for medical treatments. In recent years, a therapy with leeches has again emerged in the alternative circuit. The leeches are worth about $ 10 (about 8.75 euros) each.
