17 mummies discovered in old graftombe

Egyptian archaeologists have certainly discovered seventeen mummies in a centuries-old tomb near the city of Minya, 250 kilometers south of Cairo.

The graftombe was discovered last year by students of Cairo University, who were searching for remains of ancient civilizations with radar. The tomb is 8 meters below the ground. The mummies are not dated yet, but they are expected to have been there since the Greek-Roman period.
