ankara - The Turkish authorities consider it ' sad and unacceptable '' that Norway has granted asylum to four Turks suspected by Ankara of involvement in the failed coup last year. The Norwegian ambassador in Turkey was called on the carpet by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Since the coup attempt have been arrested by the Turkish authorities, tens of thousands of people. Some Turkish citizens therefore have taken refuge abroad. The German authorities said last month that already some 136 Turks with a diplomatic passport applied for asylum in the country.
