Trump approves controversial pipeline US well

washington - The US president Donald Trump has given the green light for the construction of the controversial Keystone XL pipeline. That pipeline of nearly 1,900 kilometers have to transport crude oil from the tar sands fields in Canada to refineries in the southern United States.

TransCanada, the company that will construct Keystone, now Trump received formal approval. In his election campaign, he had promised to take forward the project. Former President Barack Obama took just one stripe by Keystone in 2015. Environmental groups protested for years against the plan because the pipeline would provide environmental and Obama finally decided that the mega project was not in the interest of the US.

With Keystone is worth approximately $ 8 billion. The pipeline must have a capacity to transport more than 800 000 barrels of daily (from 159 liters) of oil.
