Presidential candidates suspend campaign

paris - The conservative French presidential candidate François Fillon has canceled a campaign activity for Friday following the shooting in Paris. Fillon would go to a campaign meeting in the French Alps.

Marine Le Pen of the right-populated Front National also suspends her campaign.

The first round of the French presidential elections will be held next Sunday.
