PARIS - The conservative French presidential candidate François Fillon has canceled a campaign activity for Friday following the shooting in Paris. Fillon would go to a campaign meeting in the French Alps.
Marine Le Pen of the right-populated Front National also suspends her campaign.
The first round of the French presidential elections will be held next Sunday.

If it is at Fillon, the entire election campaign will be suspended. Jean-Luc Mélenchon of La France insoumise had no doubt about Twitter: 'We must do our citizenship. Do not panic. Let's stay united. '
All candidates expressed their condolences to the victims' families.
