- An Israeli student has stolen several items from the Auschwitz museum in Poland. This she did for a graduation project on the Holocaust. The museum has now reported to the 27-year-old woman and describes the theft as disrespectful.

Spoonfuls, soup bowls and pieces of glass had stolen Rotem Bides. She had also taken a sign stating that visitors should not take any items.

The art academy of Beit Berl has removed the exhibition of Bides. The academy thinks that the students have shown little understanding of her action.

Rotem Bides is a family of Holocaust survivors. She herself does not regret her action.

'I'm not saying I can do because my grandfather sat in Auschwitz. I simply ask, 'the students said to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth,' I'm afraid that if all survivors are no longer there, the Holocaust will become a kind of myth, something that can not be perceived and understood. '
