london - Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage is not eligible for the British parliamentary elections this year. The Eurosceptic politician stated in The Daily Telegraph wanting to use his fame in the European Parliament to enforce good conditions for the British departure from the European Union.

The 53-year-old Farage acknowledged that he had been tempted to become a candidate for UKIP bolster Clacton. 'It would have been a very easy victory for me,' concluded the politician, who, according to the newspaper, took seven times to a seat in the British House of Commons.

Farage came to the conclusion that he had a 'better platform' in the European Parliament than he would have as a British parliamentarian. The Euroscepticist regularly meets Brussels and Strasbourg with his more Europagezinde colleagues. For example, the British said in early April that the EU parliament is being populated by criminals and the mafia.
