mountain view - Google's Chrome browser accepts website certificates that are issued by antivirus company Symantec daughters no longer safe. The search giant says instructions have to be issued erroneously 30,000 certificates. In the future, Chrome even repeal the validity of those certificates.

Websites can prove with a certificate that they are who they claim to be. If Google continues the action against Symantec, this may have significant implications for Internet users. Millions of websites are possibly no longer accessible. In 2015 it was calculated that about 30 percent of all Internet sites a certificate that has been issued by Symantec, or a subsidiary.

Google considers this in the plans and presents the certificates to give a maximum age in the next six versions of Chrome is getting shorter. Websites have the opportunity in the meantime to apply for a new certificate. Google also wants version 61 of Chrome for all certificates set a maximum period of nine months.
