pilar - The funeral of Jorge Zorreguieta, the father of Queen Máxima, died on Tuesday at 16:00 (21:00 Dutch time) at the Parque Memorial Cemetery in Pilar, a town just outside the city of Buenos Aires.

Prior to the funeral, from 12:00 until 17:00 Dutch time, there is an opportunity to say goodbye. Queen Máxima and the royal family arrived just before that time in a blinded van, which immediately stretched out the vast grounds of the cemetery. Máxima's brothers and the other members of the Zorreguieta family had arrived a half hour earlier.

For the public cemetery there are dozens of Argentinian and Dutch media. There is also a lot of police in charge to keep the media at bay.
